Job Opportunity: Endoscopy Technician
Location

- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 7:15 AM – 3:45 PM
- Rotating day shift once per week: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Department open weekdays 6:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- On-call coverage for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Unit Details
- Endoscopy unit with 8 procedural rooms (3 MAC, 5 Conscious Sedation)
- Includes holding and recovery rooms
- Patient population: All
- Bed count: 18 PACU bays, 8 procedural rooms
- Approximately 60-70 procedures per day
- Clinician-to-patient ratio: 1:1 in procedure rooms; 1:2 or 1:3 in PACU
- Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC
- Floating not required
- Rotating shifts required due to department hours
Requirements/Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Endoscopy Technician, with experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association prior to onboarding
- Experience in handling and reprocessing of endoscopy equipment
Certifications & Licenses
- SGNA or CBSPD certification preferred
- Professional license/certification primary source verification required within 30 days of start
- Massachusetts Conditional Licenses are not accepted
Health & Safety Requirements
- N95 Respirator Fit Test within 365 days prior to start, updated annually (no exemptions allowed)
- Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation required if fit test is needed
- Documentation of MMR immunity (vaccines or blood titer)
- TB test documentation within 3 months of start (skin test or blood test), updated if break >6 months
- Physician Health Statement within 365 days of start, updated if break >6 months
- Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity strongly preferred
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred
- Positive TB test requires negative chest X-ray documentation
Background & Professional Requirements
- Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start, updated if break >6 months
- Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start, updated if break >6 months
- National Sex Offender Registry check within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
- Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
- Social Security Number trace as part of background check
- Education verification of highest level completed (except CNA)
- Submission of a detailed resume covering past 7 years of work experience (including city and state)
- Two professional references within 4 years, including at least one supervisor or higher in relevant skillset
- Completion of a skills checklist within 1 year of submission
- Confirmation of assignment form required upon acceptance and for extensions
