Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Postpartum/Mom Baby

Unit Information

• Unit: Postpartum / Mother-Baby (3 North)
• Beds: 23
• Staff: Approximately 80 staff members on mom/baby unit
• Day Shift Staffing: 1 charge nurse, 2-3 CNAs, 9-10 RNs on the floor, 3-4 RNs in the nursery
• Night Shift Staffing: 1 charge nurse, 9-10 RNs on the floor, 2-3 RNs in the nursery
• Patient Ratios: Approximately 3-4 patients per nurse (estimated, not guaranteed)
• EMR System: Meditech / CPN

Typical Procedures

• Monitoring vital signs
• Administering medications
• Managing perineal care
• Educating parents on newborn care, safety, and bonding

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 1 year of Maternal-Newborn experience, with experience within the last year
• Experience in an acute care setting
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience specifically in a Mother/Baby unit
• Flexibility with scheduling
• Ability to adapt quickly to new situations

Work Schedule

• Approximately 36 hours per week
