Pediatric Physical Therapist (PT) - Travel/Contract

Location

  • Washington, District of Columbia
  • Inpatient Rehabilitation setting
  • Patient Population: Pediatrics

Contract Details

  • Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Day (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM), 5 days a week
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Average daily caseload: 5-8 patients
  • Productivity expectation: 10 half-hour units per day
  • Block scheduling accommodation: Yes
  • No weekend or on-call requirements
  • No floating within or to sister facilities
  • Locals accepted, no return-to-office restrictions

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Pediatric Physical Therapist license in District of Columbia
  • Minimum 1 year of Pediatric Physical Therapist experience within the last year
  • Completion of at least one travel assignment
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Documentation & Compliance Requirements

  • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
  • Background checks covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
  • Physical exam within 30 days of start, including latex allergy information
  • Fit test for N95 or equivalent mask within 1 year, updated annually
  • Immunizations and titers required:
    • Tdap (within 10 years)
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive quantitative titer with lab values)
    • Hepatitis B series and quantitative antibody titer
    • Varicella (2 vaccines or positive quantitative titer with lab values)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 60 days of start (with additional requirements if positive or new converter)
  • 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (including marijuana)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
  • COVID vaccine or declination required for tracking
  • Facility-specific modules and safety acknowledgments must be completed prior to start

Work Environment & Equipment

  • Multidisciplinary rehab team model
  • Equipment available includes parallel bars, LiteGait, FES, aquatic therapy, wheelchairs, standers, adaptive strollers, and adaptive tricycles
  • Dress code: Any scrub color without logos; child-friendly environment

This position does not accept first-time travelers.
