Pediatric Physical Therapist (PT) - Travel/Contract
Location
- Washington, District of Columbia
- Inpatient Rehabilitation setting
- Patient Population: Pediatrics
Contract Details
- Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM), 5 days a week
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Average daily caseload: 5-8 patients
- Productivity expectation: 10 half-hour units per day
- Block scheduling accommodation: Yes
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- No floating within or to sister facilities
- Locals accepted, no return-to-office restrictions
Required Qualifications
- Valid Pediatric Physical Therapist license in District of Columbia
- Minimum 1 year of Pediatric Physical Therapist experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel assignment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Documentation & Compliance Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Background checks covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
- Physical exam within 30 days of start, including latex allergy information
- Fit test for N95 or equivalent mask within 1 year, updated annually
- Immunizations and titers required:
- Tdap (within 10 years)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive quantitative titer with lab values)
- Hepatitis B series and quantitative antibody titer
- Varicella (2 vaccines or positive quantitative titer with lab values)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 60 days of start (with additional requirements if positive or new converter)
- 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (including marijuana)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
- COVID vaccine or declination required for tracking
- Facility-specific modules and safety acknowledgments must be completed prior to start
Work Environment & Equipment
- Multidisciplinary rehab team model
- Equipment available includes parallel bars, LiteGait, FES, aquatic therapy, wheelchairs, standers, adaptive strollers, and adaptive tricycles
- Dress code: Any scrub color without logos; child-friendly environment
This position does not accept first-time travelers.
