Description

Respiratory Therapist - Cardiopulmonary (Contract)

Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Contract Length: 15 weeks

Job Details

Employment Type: Contract
Shift: Day Shift (06:30 AM – 07:00 PM), three 12-hour shifts weekly (36 hours)
No guarantee of hours
Must arrive the Thursday before the start date for an employee health appointment on Friday
Flu vaccination required prior to contract start or approved medical/religious exemption

Responsibilities

Provide continuous airway management including ventilator and non-invasive ventilator support
Perform physician consulting and CPR
Deliver all aspects of respiratory care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
Use equipment such as computerized charting systems, Pyxis medication management, PB 980, PB 840 ventilators, V60, and Para Pac Transport ventilators

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Hawaii
Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
Proof of flu vaccination or approved exemption required before contract start

Additional Information

Candidate must have or apply for an active State of Hawaii respiratory therapist license before starting
Prior travel experience is required; first-time travelers will not be considered
