Job Opportunity: Oncology Chemo Certified Registered Nurse
Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse
- Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
- Patient Ratio: 1 nurse to 6 patients
- Floating: Required to float between multiple hospital locations within scope of practice
- Block scheduling: Accommodations available
- Locals: Not accepted within 100-mile radius
- Pending Minnesota license accepted
- Weekend work: Not required
- On-call: Not required
- Guaranteed hours: Subject to cancellation of up to 3 shifts without penalty

Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Minnesota
- Minimum 2 years of Oncology nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC)
Additional Requirements
- Completion of facility-specific preorientation online modules within 72 hours of assignment acceptance (3-9 hours depending on specialty)
- Passport-style badge photo required within 48 hours of contract signing
- Respiratory safety clearance (RespSafety virtual questionnaire) required prior to start for fit testing
- No prior travel experience accepted; first-time travel nurses not accepted for this role
- Return-to-office (RTO) restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days
Notes
- Candidates must be prepared to travel and float between multiple hospital sites as needed
- This is a travel contract position; local candidates within 100 miles are not accepted
- All immunization and health requirements must be met with no exceptions unless specifically noted
- Background checks and fingerprinting are strictly enforced per Minnesota state law and facility policy
This position is ideal for experienced Oncology Infusion RNs with required chemo certification seeking a travel contract role in a Magnet-designated, teaching hospital environment.
