Description
X-Ray Tech Travel/Contract Position
Location: Olympia, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in Radiology / Cardiology specialty
Weekend Requirement: Yes
On-Call: No
Floating: Yes, may need to float between like units
Local Candidates: Not eligible if residing within 50 miles of the facility
First-Time Travelers: Accepted
Pending License: Accepted
Job Responsibilities
- Perform general and portable X-rays on inpatients, outpatients, and emergency patients
- Assist with fluoroscopy procedures
- Competent in operating C-arms in the OR; experience with O-arm preferred but not required
- Preferred experience with neonates, infants, and pediatrics
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) - Radiography
Required Licenses
- Valid Radiology Technologist license in Washington (pending license accepted)
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years; must be updated annually
- E-Verify attestation required
- Education verification required (diploma/transcript may be requested)
- State-specific searches as required by Washington state law
- Drug screening (9-panel) within 12 months of start
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Immunizations and health screenings including:
- TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years (declination accepted)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
- COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations not required)
- Respiratory safety clearance required annually for travel candidates
- Fit mask test required for travel candidates, updated annually
Additional Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
- Valid Radiology Technologist license in Washington (pending license accepted)
- BLS certification
- ARRT Radiography certification
- Experience as an X-Ray Technician
- Minimum of 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
- Employment application covering at least the last 5 years
- Skills checklist updated annually (if applicable)
- Photo for badge (passport style with neutral background) required
- Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via employer LMS
