X-Ray Tech Travel/Contract Position

Location: Olympia, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in Radiology / Cardiology specialty
Weekend Requirement: Yes
On-Call: No
Floating: Yes, may need to float between like units
Local Candidates: Not eligible if residing within 50 miles of the facility
First-Time Travelers: Accepted
Pending License: Accepted

Job Responsibilities

• Perform general and portable X-rays on inpatients, outpatients, and emergency patients
• Assist with fluoroscopy procedures
• Competent in operating C-arms in the OR; experience with O-arm preferred but not required
• Preferred experience with neonates, infants, and pediatrics

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) - Radiography

Required Licenses

• Valid Radiology Technologist license in Washington (pending license accepted)

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years; must be updated annually
• E-Verify attestation required
• Education verification required (diploma/transcript may be requested)
• State-specific searches as required by Washington state law
• Drug screening (9-panel) within 12 months of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
• Immunizations and health screenings including:

  • TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years (declination accepted)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
  • COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations not required)
• Respiratory safety clearance required annually for travel candidates
• Fit mask test required for travel candidates, updated annually

Additional Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
• Valid Radiology Technologist license in Washington (pending license accepted)
• BLS certification
• ARRT Radiography certification
• Experience as an X-Ray Technician
• Minimum of 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
• Employment application covering at least the last 5 years
• Skills checklist updated annually (if applicable)
• Photo for badge (passport style with neutral background) required
• Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via employer LMS
