Cardiac Cath Lab Tech
Location: Englewood, Florida
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 16 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Job Description
- Work in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting with a 100-bed hospital.
- Unit staffed with approximately 9 full-time employees, including 5 RNs, 2 RCIS, and 1 Director.
- Typical procedures include Left Heart Catheterization (LHC), Right Heart Catheterization (RHC), Pacemaker (PPM) insertion, Stress tests, Paracentesis, Thoracentesis, and Port insertion.
- Team-oriented environment requiring flexibility and the ability to work 4-5 days per week.
- Scheduled to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital staff.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Florida
- Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
Preferred Qualifications
- ICU or Cath Lab experience of at least 1 year is preferred
Work Environment & Additional Information
- Typical shifts include AM and PM options.
- Scrub color codes are used for different clinical roles (not required knowledge but part of unit culture).
- The unit uses Cath Lab equipment and electronic medical records (EMR).
- Emphasis on teamwork and flexibility in scheduling.
