Description
Registered Nurse - Neuro Telemetry
Location: Lubbock, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (3 shifts of 12 hours each, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Patient Ratio: 1:4
Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
Float: Position floats between units
On-call: Not required
Block Schedules: Not required
48-hour Shifts: Not approved

Dress Code
- Licensed nursing personnel (RN, LVN): solid navy blue uniforms or scrubs (print tops not allowed except in Children’s Hospital and Women’s Services units)
- Unlicensed personnel: solid hunter green uniforms or scrubs
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Additional Requirements
- Floating Policy: Acknowledgement required; may be required to float to other nearby facilities
- Workramp Modules: Annual completion of regulatory, specialty-specific, regional core, and system specialty-specific training modules as applicable
- Competency Exams: Including fetal heart rate monitoring assessment for Labor & Delivery RNs if applicable
- Skills Checklist: Required annually for applicable units
- References and Work History: Must align with specialty and include explanations for any employment gaps or overlaps
Notes
- Prior travel experience is not required; first-time travelers are welcome
- Free parking available in unrestricted employee/visitor lots
- No 48-hour shifts allowed
- No on-call duties required
This position offers an opportunity to work in a Level II Trauma Center with a focus on Neuro Telemetry nursing in a short-term acute care setting. The role requires flexibility to float between units and includes weekend shifts. Compliance with comprehensive credentialing, health, and training requirements is mandatory.
