Cardiac Cath Lab Tech

Location: Margate, Florida
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Electrophysiology (EP) / Cardiac Catheterization Lab
• Number of Beds: 2 Cath labs, 1 EP lab
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 with 3 staff per room (4 staff for VT Ablation)
• Equipment Used: GE, ESI
• Documentation Systems: Meditech, MacLab
• Call Requirements: Four 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)

Typical Procedures

• Pacemaker implantation (all types)
• Ablations (all types)
• Watchman device procedures
• Cryoablation

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Radiology Technologist, including experience within the last year
• Experience as a Cath Lab Technologist and Electrophysiology Technician in an acute care setting
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Cath Lab Tech Certification
• Demonstrated de-escalation skills in a healthcare setting
