Description
Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Travel/Contract)
Location: Southbridge, Massachusetts
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Schedule: Mixed shifts, 32 hours per week
- Typical Shifts:
- Monday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Weekends: Alternating shifts between 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM and 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM every other weekend
- Equipment Used: Shimadzu X-ray Equipment
- Start Date: ASAP, once medically cleared
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technologist license in Massachusetts
- Radiology Technologist experience within the last year (minimum 1 year)
- ARRT certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- X-Ray Technician experience
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Massachusetts Nurse Aide Registry Search (state-specific background check)
- Standard background check including 7-year residential/work/school history and nationwide sex offender search
- Physical exam within 1 year of start date
- Fit mask test within the past year (3M 1860-Regular or Small mask)
- Immunizations and titers:
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: documented immunity or proof of 2 vaccines; boosters required if low titer
- Varicella: documented immunity or proof of 2 vaccines; boosters required if low titer
- Hepatitis B: documented immunity or booster if low titer; declination allowed only after two full vaccine series and negative titer
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within the past 10 years
- Negative TB test (2-step PPD, QuantiFERON Gold, or TSPOT) within 90 days of start; if past positive, negative chest x-ray within 1 year and annual TB questionnaire required
- 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (including Marijuana/THC)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific declination required year-round
- COVID-19 vaccination or facility-specific declination required; no medical exemptions accepted
Additional Requirements
- Professional references:
- 2 for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles
- 1 for per diem non-acute care roles
- Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as applicable
- National tech certification verification and primary source license verification
