Work Schedule

• Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Total hours per week: 36
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Float required to Medical-Surgical unit

Required Certifications

• ACLS (AHA only, RQI acceptable)
• BLS (AHA only, RQI acceptable)
• NIH Stroke Certification

Licensure

• Must have an active Indiana RN license in hand before starting
• Pending licenses are not accepted

Additional Requirements

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Indiana
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• PCU experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License or Passport (clear copy)
• Background checks including 7 years of residence/work history, criminal, sex offender, and education verification
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months
• Physical exam within 12 months of start date
• Fit mask test within 12 months (specific approved respirators required)
• Immunizations and titers required:

  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (no declinations accepted)
  • Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (no declinations accepted)
  • Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination
  • Tuberculosis test within 1 year (PPD, QuantiFERON, or T-SPOT) with follow-up if positive
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap preferred but not required
  • Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required for 2025-26 season (no declinations accepted)
• Color blindness exam (Ishihara or equivalent) with 100% minimum score
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam and unit competency exam required
• Skills checklist completed within 12 months and annually thereafter
• Minimum of 2 professional references from recent employment (supervisor/manager level)
• Current employment application with explanation of any gaps over 30 days in last 7 years

• Effective 11/30/2024, Indiana RNs are generally not allowed to work at this facility except for Perioperative/OR, Allied, and Ambulatory RN travelers (this position is PCU, so this restriction applies)
