X-Ray Tech (Night Shift) - Travel/Contract

Location: Southbridge, Massachusetts
Shift: Night Shift (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM), Tuesday through Saturday
Hours: 40 hours per week (5 shifts of 8 hours)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Perform X-Ray imaging primarily using Siemens DR X-Ray equipment
• Night shift traveler position requiring familiarity with Siemens X-Ray technology
• Tentative start: ASAP, once medically cleared

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiology Technologist license in Massachusetts
• Minimum of 1 year of Radiology Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
• Experience as an X-Ray Technician

Experience

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
• Minimum years of experience: Not explicitly stated; assume standard for X-Ray Tech roles (typically 1+ year)

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Massachusetts Nurse Aide Registry Search (state-specific background check)
• Standard background check including 7-year history and nationwide sex offender search
• Physical exam within 1 year of start date
• Fit mask test within the past year (3M-1860-Regular or Small mask)
• Immunization and titers documentation:

  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or proof of vaccination (no declinations accepted)
  • Varicella immunity or proof of vaccination (no declinations accepted)
  • Hepatitis B immunity or booster documentation (declination allowed only if non-responder after full series)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within past 10 years
• Negative TB test (2-step PPD, Q Gold, or TSPOT) within 90 days of start; if past positive, negative chest X-ray within 1 year and annual TB questionnaire required
• 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start including Marijuana/THC (instant tests not accepted)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific declination required for candidates starting October 1 onward
• COVID-19 vaccination or facility-specific declination required; no medical exemptions accepted

Certifications and Competencies

• BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
• ACLS and PALS certifications not required for this role
• National tech certification verification required (per Allied licensure standards)
• Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable

References

• 2 professional references required for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles (within 2 years of start)

Additional Notes

• Facility-specific COVID and flu vaccine declination forms must be completed if declining vaccines
• Background checks and credential verifications are updated annually
• Drug screen and physical exam do not require annual renewal during the contract if current at start
