Dietitian Travel/Contract Job in South Carolina

Job Details

• Location: Sumter, South Carolina
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours/week)
• Units Covered: Adult medical, surgical, and ICU units
• Floating: Required as needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) license in South Carolina
• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Experience

• At least 1 year of experience in the specialty (Dietary Services)
• First-time travelers accepted based on experience
• Prior travel experience not explicitly required

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Background check covering 7 years, including all states/counties lived or worked in during that time
• E-Verify or attestation
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and every 30 days thereafter
• Primary source verification of state license (no pending actions, valid at start)
• Education verification of highest level completed
• Drug screening within 1 year of start, updated annually (5-panel minimum)
• Physical exam within 1 year attesting ability to meet job demands
• Immunizations and health documents as applicable, including:

  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years if working in high-risk areas
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: positive titer or 2 vaccines (second vaccine must be completed within 28 days if pending)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series, positive titer, or signed declination
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or approved exemption (not required for 100% remote workers)

Orientation and Testing

• Completion of online orientation modules within 72 hours of assignment
• Pre-assignment testing (medication and arrhythmia tests) required for applicable clinical roles, with 2 attempts allowed
• Badge photo required prior to start (passport-style, plain background, no obstructions)

Additional Notes

• Floating policy must be signed and renewed annually
• Respirator fit test completed onsite during orientation (N95 masks commonly used)
• Facility is latex-free environment
• Candidates must maintain compliance with annual competency exams and training modules
