Registered Nurse – Inpatient Wound/Ostomy (Certified WOCN)

Location: State College, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift (8 hours, Monday to Friday)
Hours per Week: 40

Job Summary

• Serve as a consultant to staff and patients regarding skin prevention, wounds, ostomies, and continence care.
• Act as a liaison between patients and staff, supporting effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain professional communication with patients, families, physicians, and co-workers.
• Demonstrate emotional resilience, tact, sensitivity, sound judgment, and professionalism in patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania.
• Board certification in wound, ostomy, and continence nursing (WOCN).
• Minimum of 3 years of wound care experience, including experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Medical-surgical nursing experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
