Job Summary
Provide radiation therapy to patients as prescribed, following established practices and standards. Responsibilities include reviewing prescriptions and diagnoses, acting as a liaison between providers and support staff, preparing equipment such as immobilization and treatment devices, maintaining records and reports, and assisting with tumor localization and dosimetry procedures. Other duties may be assigned within the scope of practice.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Graduate of an accredited radiology program or equivalent (Committee on Allied Health Education accredited)
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
Licenses and Certifications
- Valid Radiation Therapist license in New Mexico
- Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Additional Information
- Must maintain required core competencies
- Compliance with facility policies and procedures (e.g., dress code, name tag, parking, smoking) is expected
