Unit Information

• Unit: Operating Room
• Number of beds in hospital: 815
• Patient ratio: 1:1
• Documentation system: Cerner
• Scheduling: Variable schedule with call required
• Floating policy: May float to other departments
• Dress code: Scrubs provided by facility

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technician (CST) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist
• Surgical Technologist experience within the last year

Desired Skills and Experience

• Broad surgical knowledge
• Experience in multiple service lines including:

  • General surgery
  • Gynecology (GYN)
  • Robotics
  • Neurosurgery
  • Orthopedics
  • Plastic surgery
  • Urology
  • Burn and trauma surgery
• Advanced surgical skills for variable procedures performed on the unit
