Description
Inpatient Pharmacist Travel/Contract Position
Location: Knoxville, Tennessee
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 or 4 shifts per week), 10 hours per shift (22:00 - 8:00)
Weekend Requirement: Yes
Start Date: ASAP
Job Description
- Provide inpatient pharmacy services during night shifts.
- Open to first-time travel pharmacists.
- Block scheduling accommodations possible depending on shift.
- No on-call duties.
- Time off restrictions are negotiable.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Hospital Pharmacist license in Tennessee.
- Minimum of 1 year of hospital pharmacist experience within the last year.
Certifications & Competencies
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA only.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required if assigned to ICU or critical care units.
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam required as applicable.
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement and HIPAA compliance required.
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within the last 12 months (not required annually).
- Immunizations or titers required for:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (declination form required if declined)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (titer or 2 vaccines; boosters if low titer)
- Hepatitis B series or positive titer (declinations accepted only under specific circumstances)
- Varicella (2 vaccines, titer, history of chickenpox, or declination/booster if negative)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 3 months (QGOLD, Tspot, or 2 PPDs). TB questionnaire required annually.
- Drug screening: 10-panel drug test with alcohol screening within 1 year of start and updated annually.
- Seasonal flu vaccination required annually (Oct 1 - Mar 31) or approved medical/religious exemption with masking required if exempt.
Additional Requirements
- Photo for badge: recent, plain background, shoulders up, no filters or face coverings (glasses and religious head coverings allowed).
- Fit testing for respiratory protection required prior to orientation.
- Parking form completion required.
- Immunization declination forms must be completed if applicable.

- Pending licenses are not accepted.
- Prior travel experience is not required.
