Medical Lab Scientist - Travel/Contract
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Specialty: Laboratory
Shift: Night (4x10 hours), 9:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Placement primarily on night shift in a high-volume, highly specialized Blood Bank.
- Responsibilities include specimen processing, ABO/Rh/Antibody Screen & ID, Antibody Typing (Tube Method), Crossmatch (Immediate Spin/IgG), Electronic Crossmatch, and Indirect Coombs Test.
- Blood Bank supports transfusion needs for pediatric and adult specialty services.
- Must be comfortable working independently during night shifts.
- Handles approximately 15,000 samples.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Lab Scientist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year.
- Certification: ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) or ACP (American Certification Agency) required.
