Description

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Location: Jefferson, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Unit: Medical Surgical (Med/Surg)
Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (option to sign 36 or 48-hour shifts)
Patient Ratio: 1:6
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Float Requirement: None (may occasionally work as sitter or monitor tech)
Scheduling: Self-schedule
Orientation: Unit orientation shifts plus one day of on-site training with educator
Unit Systems: Meditech, SBAR communication, Omnicell medication system
Scrubs: Navy color required

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Skills: Starting IVs
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
