Job Opportunity: Electrophysiology Tech

Location: Portland, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (3 shifts of 12 hours each, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
Expected Patient Ratio: 1:1

Job Description

  • Radiology Technologist with Electrophysiology (EP) experience required.
  • Position does not float between units.
  • No on-call, weekend, or block schedule requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Electrophysiology Technician with at least 1 year of experience.
  • Electrophysiology Technician experience within the last year.

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

Background Checks & Verifications

  • Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years; must be updated annually.
  • Education verification required.
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated monthly.
  • Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start.
  • Employment application covering at least last 5 years.
  • Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting.
  • Work history verification may be required if reference exceptions are requested.

Health and Safety

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO.
  • Fit mask test required for travel candidates (updated annually).
  • Immunizations and titers required:
    • TDAP vaccine within 10 years (declination accepted).
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual update required).
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer.
    • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination.
    • Varicella vaccination or positive titer.
    • Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted).
    • COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted.
  • Respiratory safety clearance required annually for travel candidates.

Facility-Specific Requirements

  • Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required.
  • Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS.
  • Must complete Epic training modules as assigned.
  • Oregon-specific abuse/neglect search required if applicable.
  • Floating policy acknowledgment required (may be asked to float to nearby facilities).

Additional Notes

  • No weekend or on-call shifts required.
  • Parking is free.
  • Scrub color: Any color allowed; OR/Cath Lab scrubs provided.
  • This is a day shift position with 36 hours per week (3x12 hour shifts).
  • No 48-hour shifts approved.

This position is ideal for Radiology Technologists with Electrophysiology experience seeking a travel contract in a large acute care hospital setting with stable day shifts and no weekend or on-call requirements.
