Radiologic Technologist – General Imaging
Job Type
- Contractor
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 8-hour day shift
- Hours per week: 40
Location & Facility Overview
- Level III Trauma Center with Level III NICU
- Magnet Designation and Primary Stroke Center
- 636 beds total
- Unit includes diagnostic, fluoroscopy, video swallow, pain clinic, and dental rooms
- Average patient volume: 15-20 patients per tech per day
- Fast-paced unit with high patient acuity
Patient Population
- Inpatient, outpatient, emergency department, procedural patients
- All age ranges with minimal pediatric cases
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technologist license in Wisconsin
- Minimum 2 years of Radiology Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- ARRT certification
- BLS certification
Skills & Experience
- Competent in surgical and procedural imaging
- Experience with general imaging and portable X-rays
- Fluoroscopy experience including ERCPs, bronchoscopies, pain clinic procedures, and urology cases
- Operating room experience with orthopedic, general surgery, and spine cases preferred
- Comfortable using O-arm imaging technology
Orientation & Training
- 7-day orientation in the department
- Neonatal orientation provided
Scheduling & Work Expectations
- Weekend rotation every other weekend
- One call shift per week with three call periods (0630-1400, 1400-2230, 2230-0630)
- One holiday shift expected per contract
- Schedule cycle includes Monday-Friday plus every other weekend, with days off before and after weekend shifts
- Shift start times may flex by 1 to 1.5 hours depending on staffing
- Time off requests must be approved by manager
Department Support & Team
- Lead technologist on first shift
- Radiologist available onsite 24/7
- Team includes 14 techs on days, 7 on second shift, 3 on third shift
- Respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and intensivists available 24/7
Equipment & Technology
- EMR system: EPIC
- X-ray equipment brands: GE, Fuji, Del Medical
- PACS: McKesson
- C-arm models: GE 9900, Elites, Medtronic O-arms

- No floating to other units
- Surgery scrubs provided onsite

Note: Prior travel experience is not explicitly required but candidates with strong surgical and procedural skills are preferred.
