Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Night Shift

Location: Beaufort, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours

Job Summary

• Position requires working night shifts as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Must have experience with Meditech EMR.
• Work location has a 50-mile radius restriction.
• Facility maintains strict background and licensure standards (no exceptions for hits).

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in South Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, including experience within the last year
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam confirming ability to meet job demands.
• Immunizations or titers required for:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination form)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (titers or vaccines with boosters or declination)
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer or vaccine series; declination form if negative)
  • Varicella (titer or vaccines with boosters or declination)
  • Seasonal Flu vaccination or declination form (year-round requirement)
  • COVID vaccination or declination form
• Negative TB test (Qgold, Tspot, or 2-step PPD within 1 year) or chest X-ray required; annual update required for Respiratory Therapy.
• Drug screening: 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (for new candidates after 12/14/25); no instant tests accepted.

Documentation and Compliance

• Criminal background check within 30 days of start (for new candidates after 12/14/25).
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals.
• Copy of Respiratory Therapy diploma required (transcripts not accepted).
• Primary source verification of state license required.
• Completion of approximately 81 Relias training modules prior to first shift and orientation (up to 8 hours allowed for orientation).
• Badge photo required (no hats, sunglasses, filters, or altered images).
• Signed job description and confidentiality agreements required.
• Employment application/resume and proof of 2 clinical references required.
• Performance evaluations required if previously worked through any agency; internal evaluations required if employed over 2 years.
• Skills checklist must be updated annually.

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
