Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Technologist with Electrophysiology (EP) and Radiofrequency (RF) Ablation Skills
Location
- Sun City, Arizona

Work Schedule
- Day shift, Monday to Friday
- Hours typically 06:00 to 16:30, based on surgery schedule
- Flexible scheduling options: 5 days x 8 hours or 4 days x 10 hours
- Facility closed on July 4th and Labor Day
Job Summary
Perform a variety of technical imaging procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab, including:
- Cardiovascular arterial and venous studies such as vascular angiography, angioplasty, arteriography
- Electrophysiology studies and hemodynamic measurements
- Pacemaker (PPM) and Automated Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (AICD) insertion and replacements
- Scrubbing and assisting cardiologists, radiologists, and vascular surgeons during procedures
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inventory and supply chain under facility PAR levels
- Monitor case expenses and suggest cost-saving measures
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, including radiation safety
- Troubleshoot fluoroscopy and ultrasound equipment
- Recognize and minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff
- Follow AIDET communication framework (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank You)
- Support teamwork and flexibility by accepting reassignments and additional duties as needed
- Provide excellent service to patients, families, and healthcare team members
Physical Demands
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, and stretching
- Physical agility and quick reaction time for patient care needs
- Adequate hearing, visual acuity (including color vision), fine motor skills, and eye-hand coordination
- Ability to assist patients with ambulation and transfers
- May lift up to 75 pounds
- Use of standard precautions due to exposure risk to blood and bodily fluids
- Effective communication skills in person and by phone
- Periodic use of a personal computer
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, with experience within the last year
- Certification in one of the following: ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists), RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist), or RCES (Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist)
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Proficient in angioplasty and arteriography procedures
- Skilled in electrophysiology studies and hemodynamic measurements
- Experienced in pacemaker (PPM) and Automated Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (AICD) insertion and replacements
This position requires a skilled technologist capable of independently performing complex cardiac imaging procedures with a focus on electrophysiology and radiofrequency ablation, maintaining safety and regulatory compliance, and contributing to a collaborative healthcare environment.
