X-Ray Tech (Radiologic Technologist) - Travel/Contract

Location: Columbus, Ohio
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

Seeking a Radiologic Technologist specializing in Operating Room (OR) procedures with proficiency in C-arm and O-arm systems. The role involves performing X-ray procedures during surgical interventions in diverse healthcare settings including outpatient, inpatient, Level I Trauma, and teaching hospitals.


Work Schedule

  • 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (Day shift: approx. 11:30 AM to 10:00 PM)
  • Call responsibilities required

Responsibilities

  • Provide C-arm and O-arm coverage in the Operating Room environment
  • Perform X-ray procedures for surgical interventions
  • Collaborate with surgical and medical teams to ensure optimal patient care
  • Maintain equipment functionality and adhere to safety protocols
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with field advancements

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Radiology Technologist license in Ohio
  • Radiology Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
  • ARRT certification
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Experience as an X-Ray Technician

Experience & Work Settings

  • Experience in outpatient, inpatient, Operating Room, Level I Trauma, and teaching hospital environments
  • Skilled in surgical X-ray procedures, specifically with C-arm technology

Background & Compliance Requirements

  • 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, including FBI and BCI fingerprinting (Ohio-specific code 3701.881)
  • Monthly monitoring through EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG databases
  • Education accreditation verification required immediately after contract signing
  • High school diploma or GED verification (for applicable roles)
  • Employment application and skills checklist required
  • 2 professional references required (at least one from a manager or formal leadership)

Certifications & Competencies

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA Instructor/Provider or RQI accepted
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) may be required depending on unit (check specifics)
  • Unit-specific competency exams required
  • Annual orientation safety manual acknowledgement
  • State license verification within 30 days of start
  • Medication/pharmacology competency exam (for applicable roles)

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming good health and freedom from contagious disease
  • Negative TB test (PPD, QGold, or TSPOT) within 1 year or chest X-ray if positive
  • TB questionnaire required in lieu of annual TB test renewal
  • Adult Tdap vaccination (not Td or DTaP) required
  • 2 MMR vaccines or positive titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, and Rubella
  • Varicella immunity via 2 vaccines or positive titer (medical exemptions reviewed)
  • Hepatitis B titer or 3-vaccine series (declination acceptable)
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 3 months of start (no pending tests allowed)
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season (10/1 - 3/31) with mask requirement if declined
  • COVID-19 vaccination not required but strongly recommended

Additional Facility-Specific Requirements

  • Dress code and hand hygiene policy review and signature required for contracts signed 5/19/25 and beyond
  • Confidential Fraud, Waste, and Abuse compliance training and acknowledgment required prior to start and annually thereafter
  • Background acknowledgment form required for subcontractors prior to start
  • Proof of fingerprinting completion required for all candidates (physical receipt or photo of fingerprint cards)

Parking

  • Various parking permit options available for agency staff (costs and details subject to change)
