Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel Contract

Unit Information

- Location: Main Respiratory Therapy Department
- Number of Beds: 854
- Number of Staff: 120
- Shift Staffing:
- Day Shift: 15-20 RRTs for Adult service lines, 3-4 RRTs for NICU/Pediatrics
- Night Shift: 12-16 RRTs for Adult service lines, 3-4 RRTs for NICU/Pediatrics
- Patient Ratios: 10 - 25 patients per therapist
- Equipment Used:
- GE R860 Adult ventilators
- Draeger Infant/Pediatric ventilators
- Newport HT70 transport ventilator
- V60 Non-invasive device
- Vapotherm and Comfort Flow high flow oxygen devices
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Cerner
- Floating Areas: All Critical Care units and floors
- Dress Code: Medium Gray/Pewter scrubs
- Weekend Requirement: At least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in North Carolina
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
