Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer

Location: Fort Walton Beach, Florida
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 hours

Job Description

• Backfill position covering evening shifts: Monday through Thursday, 6:30 PM to 5:00 AM
• Weekend shifts include three 12-hour shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with rotating on-call and holiday shifts
• Must be proficient in all general and vascular ultrasound procedures, including ultrasound-guided procedures such as thoracentesis, paracentesis, abscess drainage, and other interventions
• Operate GE LOGIC 9 ultrasound equipment
• Documentation using MEDITECH and Centricity PACS systems
• Provide exceptional customer service adhering to department expectations on communication

Unit Information

• Unit: Ultrasound (2-room department)
• Patient ratios are variable
• Weekend staffing includes unit secretaries and tech availability
• The unit is ACR accredited for vascular ultrasound
• Dress code: Black scrubs required

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, including experience within the last year
• ARDMS or ARRT (S) certification required
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification required
• Vascular Sonographer experience required
• BLS certification required
