Cath Lab Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Beaufort, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Work primarily in the cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology (IR) holding department.
• Adult patient population with various disease processes.
• Procedural area responsibilities including pre- and post-procedure care.
• Schedule: Dayshift Monday through Friday (3x12 hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM) with rotating evening, night, weekend, and holiday call as needed.
• Occasional 5x8 shifts may be required.
• Work within a 50-mile radius restriction.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab, with experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Proficient in circulating in procedural areas.
• Experience with conscious sedation.
• Skilled in hemodynamic monitoring.
• Experience with MEDITECH electronic medical record system.

Additional Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID must be carried during hours of service.
• Criminal background check required within 30 days of start (for new candidates).
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and for every contract renewal.
• Primary source verification of state license and NURSYS verification required.
• Completion of facility-specific Relias training modules (~81 modules) prior to first shift and orientation.
• Badge photo required (no hats, sunglasses, filters, or altered images).
• Must sign facility-specific confidentiality and job description documents.
• Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands required.
• Immunizations and health screenings required:

  • Tdap within 10 years or facility-specific declination
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella titers or vaccinations (or declinations)
  • Hepatitis B titer or vaccine series (or declination)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination
  • COVID vaccination or declination
• Drug testing: 10-panel within 30 days of start (instant tests not accepted).
• Proof of 2 clinical references required.
• Performance evaluations and skills checklists may be required if applicable.

Work Environment & Notes

• Adult procedural care setting with cardiac and interventional radiology focus.
• Must be able to work rotating shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays on call.
• Facility maintains strict compliance standards for background, licensure, and health documentation.
