Description
Registered Nurse - Medical / Surgical
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Specialty: Surgery Trauma
Shift: Night
Hours per Week: 36
Contract Length: 8 weeks
Job Description
- Work on a high acuity Surgery Trauma floor
- Patient population includes surgical cases, gunshot wounds, quadriplegic, and paraplegic patients
- Patient-to-nurse ratio: 5:1
- Nursing support staff available including Nursing Support Techs, phlebotomists, and unit secretary at night
- Nurse handoff completed with ED nurse and admitting unit
- Must be willing to work given shifts; no block schedules
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Georgia
- Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Trauma nursing experience
- BLS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience with Epic electronic medical record system
