Description

Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Santa Fe, New Mexico

Job Summary

  • Provides independent nursing care in a clinical setting involving Pain Procedures, Pre-Op, Operating Room (OR), and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
  • Delivers routine and complex care, manages clinical contingencies, and delegates tasks appropriately.
  • Follows nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
  • Addresses psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
  • Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring effectiveness and side effects.
  • Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
  • Educates patients, families, and caregivers based on assessed learning needs.

  • Santa Fe, New Mexico

Employment Type

  • Travel assignment
  • Full-time, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
  • Day shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year.
  • Experience in Pain Management, Pre-Op, and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).

Licenses & Certifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).

Education

  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.

Work Conditions

  • Weekend work required.
  • On-call duties required.
  • Floating between locations required.
  • Blocked scheduling not accommodated.

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
