Description

Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Santa Fe, New Mexico

Job Summary

Provides independent nursing care in a clinical setting involving Pain Procedures, Pre-Op, Operating Room (OR), and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
Delivers routine and complex care, manages clinical contingencies, and delegates tasks appropriately.
Follows nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Addresses psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring effectiveness and side effects.
Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
Educates patients, families, and caregivers based on assessed learning needs.

Employment Type

Travel assignment
Full-time, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
Day shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Contract length: 13 weeks

Requirements

Experience

Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year.
Experience in Pain Management, Pre-Op, and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).

Licenses & Certifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).

Education

Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.

Work Conditions

Weekend work required.
On-call duties required.
Floating between locations required.
Blocked scheduling not accommodated.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
