Sleep Tech - Sleep Medicine

Location: Carlsbad, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Hours per Week: 36


Job Description

  • Collect, analyze, and integrate patient data to determine specific testing parameters in collaboration with ordering physicians or clinical directors.
  • Prepare, calibrate, and adjust sleep lab equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Apply electrodes and sensors according to accepted standards; perform physiological calibrations and PAP mask fittings.
  • Conduct tests such as Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT), Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT), and oxygen titration following procedural protocols.
  • Monitor polysomnographic data quality, identify and resolve artifacts to maintain signal integrity.
  • Document sleep stages, clinical events, and significant occurrences during procedures to support scoring and interpretation.
  • Implement patient-specific therapeutic interventions including PAP, bi-level PAP, and oxygen administration as appropriate.
  • Score sleep stages and clinical events per professional guidelines and generate accurate reports for physician review.
  • Provide age-specific care in treatment, assessment, and education of a diverse patient population.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.
  • No call or floating required.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Polysomnographer license in New Mexico
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Polysomnographer, including experience within the last year
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • 48GHs not approved.
  • Start date: ASAP.
