Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location
- Austin, Texas
Employment Type
- Travel contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Schedule
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Rotating weekends
- No on-call required
- Approximately 36 hours per week
Unit Information
- Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Respiratory Therapy
- Patient care includes neonates with ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and nebulizer treatments
- Unit dress code: olive green tops and black bottoms
- No call requirements
- Unit emphasizes use of current respiratory equipment and technology
Required Certifications and Licenses
- Respiratory Therapist (RT) License/Certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- NBRC certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
Additional Notes
- Preferred candidates have ICU, NICU, or PICU experience
- The unit values candidates with strong skills in ventilator management and neonatal respiratory care
- Positive personality fit and adherence to unit policies are important
