Unit Information
- Unit Type: Inpatient rehab unit within an acute care hospital
- Number of Beds: 15
- Number of Staff: 20
- Day Shift Staffing: 4.5 PT/PTA, 4 OT/COTA, 0.5 rehab tech
- Patient Ratios: Approximately 5 patients per therapist
- Equipment: Basic lift equipment, therapy equipment
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
- Weekend Requirement: At least 2 weekend days per month
Typical Procedures
- Evaluations and treatments
- Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) assessments for Speech Therapy (ST) patients
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Hospital experience
- De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of physical therapist assessment or USP 800 hazardous drug risks
Work Environment and Culture
- Team-oriented and energetic personality preferred
- Floating area includes acute care hospital settings
