Cardiac Cath Lab Tech

Location: Ft. Walton Beach, Florida
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 hours

Job Description

• Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab unit with 7 holding beds.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
• Stemi call approximately 10 to 12 days per month with self-scheduling.
• Floating within related departments: Electrophysiology (EP) and Stress Lab.
• Use equipment such as GE Innova and Impella.
• Documentation systems include MacLab and Meditech.
• Procedures performed include:

  • TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement)
  • PFO (Patent Foramen Ovale) closure
  • Atherectomy
  • PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention)
  • Right/Left Heart Catheterization (R/LHC)
  • Impella and IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump) support
  • Implants
  • DCCV (Direct Current Cardioversion)
  • TEE (Transesophageal Echocardiogram)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Radiology Technologist, including experience within the last year.
• Certifications required:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Cath Lab Tech Certification
• Experience with IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump) and Impella support.
• Proficient in IFR (Instantaneous Wave-Free Ratio) and FFR (Fractional Flow Reserve) procedures.
• Advanced skills in PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention), PFO (Patent Foramen Ovale) closure, TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement), Atherectomy, Right/Left Heart Catheterization (R/LHC), and DCCV (Direct Current Cardioversion).
