Description

Cardiac Cath Lab Tech

Location: San Antonio, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 hours (guaranteed)


Job Summary

  • Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab unit performing heart catheterizations, electrophysiology (EP) studies, and interventional radiology studies.
  • Operate Bi-Plane Imaging Suites.
  • Must be able to pull call nights and weekends.
  • Floating to other units as needed is required.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Texas
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, including experience within the last year
  • Cath Lab Tech Certification
  • ARRT certification specific to Cath Lab Tech
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Meditech documentation system.

Shift & Scheduling

  • Weekend shifts may be required.
  • Call requirements include nights and weekends.

Unit & Work Environment

  • Cath Lab Techs wear brown scrubs (provided).
  • Nail policy: clean and healthy nails required.
  • Hair must be covered with an OR cap regardless of color.
  • Tattoos should be covered whenever possible; exceptions handled individually.
  • Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited.

  • The unit emphasizes a positive, caring attitude toward patients and teamwork.
  • The hospital has received high safety grades for patient care quality.
  • Floating policy applies; travelers must be informed during the interview process.
