MRI Technician Position

Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Job Summary

• Perform MRI imaging safely and efficiently following established guidelines and protocols.
• Must have sound knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, spine anatomy, neuro-vascular anatomy, and head and neck anatomy, including common diseases in these areas.
• Work independently and collaboratively with Radiologists and other imaging specialists to ensure exam efficiency and patient comfort.
• Aim to achieve the highest diagnostic imaging quality possible.

Required Qualifications

• Valid professional license or certification as an MRI Technologist, with primary source verification completed within 30 days of start date. Conditional licenses are not accepted.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required prior to onboarding.
• Fit Test for N95 respirator within 365 days of start date, updated annually; must be completed offsite using the designated form. No exemptions allowed.
• Respirator Medical Clearance attestation required if fit test is needed.
• Documentation of immunity or vaccination for Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) required.
• Tuberculosis (TB) screening documentation within 3 months of start date, updated if there is a break longer than 6 months.
• Physician-signed health statement within 365 days of start date, updated if break exceeds 6 months.
• Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start, including county and international residence history for the past 7 years.
• Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start.
• National sex offender registry check within 30 days prior to start, updated annually.
• Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start and annually.
• Verification of highest level of education achieved (except CNA positions).
• Social Security Number trace as part of background check.
• Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state details.
• Two professional references within 4 years, including at least one supervisor or higher in the relevant skillset.
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission.
• Confirmation of assignment form required upon acceptance and for any extensions.

Additional Information

• Positive TB test requires documentation of a negative chest X-ray after the positive result.
• Name change documentation may be required if credentials do not match current legal name.
• TB symptom survey required if positive TB test, updated annually.
• Candidate submission coversheet required for initial assignment submissions.

Experience

• This position is a long-term assignment lasting approximately 13 weeks.
