Description

Registered Nurse (Critical Care Unit) - Travel Position

Location

Corpus Christi, Texas

Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Job Summary

Provide routine and complex nursing care independently in a critical care setting.
Manage care for high acuity patients, including those post cardio-thoracic surgery fresh out of OR.
Care for patients with devices such as IMPELLA, Balloon Pump, Arctic Sun, TABLO XT/CRRT.
Handle patients with multiple comorbidities and drips.
Utilize nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
Administer medications and treatments, monitor side effects and effectiveness.
Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.
Previous experience with Epic electronic health records preferred.

Required Qualifications

Education

Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Experience

Minimum 1 year of Coronary Care Unit (CCU) experience within the last year

Licenses & Certifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
