Cath Lab Tech - Travel/Contract Position

Location: Portland, Oregon

Shift: Day (3 shifts of 12 hours each, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Position requires experience in Electrophysiology (EP).
• Candidate must hold either CCI RCIS or ARRT OBMI licensure.
• Candidates with an active Radiology Technologist license from another state may be considered if they have or will apply for an Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) license.
• Fluoroscopy operation in Oregon requires OBMI licensure.
• No floating between units, no on-call, no weekend or block schedules required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Oregon.
• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year.
• Experience as an Electrophysiology Technician.
• Certification by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) licensure.

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating ability to work with or without accommodation.
• Fit mask test required for travel candidates (valid within 1 year or completed onsite). Must be updated annually.
• Immunizations and screenings required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years; declination accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual update required)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer or signed declination
  • Hepatitis B: Documentation of vaccination series or signed declination
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer or signed declination
  • Seasonal Flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
  • COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations not required but unvaccinated must follow infection prevention protocols
• Drug screen: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (instant acceptable).

Background & Compliance

• Background check within 90 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated monthly.
• Education verification required for all candidates.
• State-specific searches and registries as applicable.
• References and work history verification required to meet compliance standards.

Additional Requirements

• Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required.
• Annual completion of regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp).
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable.
• Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units.
