Physical Therapist - Inpatient Rehabilitation
Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: June 29, 2026
Shift: Day shift (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM), 5 days per week, 40 hours total
Weekend Requirement: One weekend per month, as scheduled
Holidays: Required as they fall, as scheduled
Floating: No floating
On-call: No on-call
Job Description
- Provide physical therapy care in an inpatient rehabilitation setting.
- Patient population includes all levels of spinal cord injury/disorders, neurological disorders, or disorders with similar presentations.
- Use of special equipment such as Hoyer lifts, overhead lifts, and body weight supported devices.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Maryland
- Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Documentation and Compliance Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID required.
- Background checks including 7-year criminal search, education verification, and various federal/state screenings.
- Physical exam within 1 year of start.
- Negative 9-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start (instant tests not accepted).
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start.
- Immunizations/vaccinations or proof of immunity required for:
- TB (negative test or chest X-ray as applicable, updated annually)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (if working with children)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or 2 vaccines/boosters)
- Hepatitis B (positive titer or declination; series not accepted)
- Varicella (positive titer or 2 vaccines/boosters)
- Seasonal flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption (for 2025-26 season)
- COVID vaccine not required for this location but documentation or declination collected for tracking.
- Two supervisory references within 1 year of start.
- Employment application/resume completed within 30 days of start.
- Verification of previous 5 years of employment history.
Additional Notes
- Photo for badge required (passport-style with solid white/beige background).
- Confidentiality agreement and dress code review required prior to start.
- No floating or on-call duties.
- One weekend per month and holidays as scheduled are mandatory.
This position offers an opportunity to work in a specialized inpatient rehab setting focusing on neurological and spinal cord injury patients with access to advanced assistive devices.
