X-Ray Technologist (Radiology / Cardiology) - Travel/Contract
Location: San Angelo, Texas
Shift: Night, Monday to Thursday, 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM (4x10 hour shifts)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic examinations in a fast-paced Level III Trauma Center environment.
- Conduct a variety of OR exams, including proficiency with O arm and Cios Spins equipment.
- Provide imaging support for trauma activations, emergency department patients, inpatient units, and outpatient services.
- Perform and document basic Fluoroscopy under radiologist guidance.
- Accurately document procedures and patient information in electronic medical records and PACS.
- Maintain equipment functionality and promptly report malfunctions.
- Respond to urgent and emergent imaging requests, including after-hours, weekends, holidays, and on-call as required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technologist license in Texas.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist, including experience within the last year.
- Experience as an X-Ray Technician.
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID) with legal name matching all documents.
- Social Security Card with legal name matching all documents.
- Background check (7-year, including statewide, federal, education verification, and international if applicable) completed within 30 days of start.
- E-Verify or attestation completed within 30 days of start.
- Education verification or diploma as placeholder if pending.
- National certification/license verification within 30 days of start.
- Photo for badge (passport-style with solid background).
- Completion of facility-specific forms prior to start (e.g., health record, code of conduct, confidentiality, orientation).
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, completed within 72 hours of contract signing.
- Fit mask test within 6 months prior to start; annual updates required.
- Immunizations and/or titers required within 72 hours of contract signing:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (within 1 year)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or 2 vaccines)
- Hepatitis B (positive titer or series with declination form if applicable)
- Varicella (positive titer, 2 vaccines, or proof of disease)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (10/31–3/31)
- COVID initial series (boosters not required)
- Drug testing within 30 days of start, including a panel for multiple substances.
- Pass/fail competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable.
- Annual updates for orientation safety manual acknowledgment and skills checklist.
Additional Notes
- Must be able to work in a Level III Trauma Center environment.
- Must be able to work night shifts and respond to emergent imaging needs.
- Legal name discrepancies across documents are not acceptable; discrepancies must be reported immediately.
- Facility may provide on-site options for certain certifications if needed (e.g., NRP).
- Orientation and compliance forms must be completed prior to start date.
