Occupational Therapist (OT) - Travel Position

Location: Houston, Texas
Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit


Job Details

  • Employment Type: Travel contract
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Unit: Inpatient Rehab
  • Number of Beds: 20
  • Typical Patient Ratios: 4-6 patients per therapist
  • Shift Preference: Tuesday through Saturday, day shifts; possible alternating weekends
  • Floating: May be asked to float to acute care or outpatient settings if needed
  • EMR System: Meditech

Unit Environment

  • Staff includes RNs, techs, PT, OT, ST, therapy techs
  • Equipment used: Hoyer lifts, wheelchairs, rollators, nustep machines, light gait trainers, hospital beds, bed/chair alarms, oxygen tanks, pulse oximeters, blood pressure machines
  • Dress Code: Standard navy blue scrubs

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in Texas
  • Minimum 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience within the last year
  • BLS certification
  • OTR certification
  • De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting
