Nuclear Med Tech Travel Opportunity

Location: Lewisville, Texas
Contract Length: 6 weeks
Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM plus on-call
Hours per Week: 36

Unit Information

• Department: Nuclear Medicine
• Facility Size: 191 beds (including NICU)
• Nuclear Medicine Staff: 1 full-time, 2 PRN
• Support Staff: Radiology RNs and Tech Aides assist the unit
• Equipment:

  • GE NM 850 Dual Head SPECT/CT Scanner
  • GE NM 830 Dual Head Gamma Camera
  • GE Case 8000 Stress Testing system
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech
• On-Call Requirement:

  • Monday to Friday: 3:30 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Saturday and Sunday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM (24 hours)
• Floating: Not required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Texas
• Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
• ARRT (N) certification
• BLS certification from an approved vendor

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience with GE Scanners and Xeleris Post Processing
• Familiarity with GE Centricity PACS and Meditech Health Information System
• Excellent venipuncture skills
• Strong computer skills

• Sentinel Node Injections
• DATScan
• HIDA scans
• Gastric Emptying studies
• VQ scans
• Thyroid Uptake and Ablations
• Bone Scan Indium 111
• Xofigo treatments
