Job Opportunity: Circulating and Scrub RN

Location: Devils Lake, North Dakota
Employment Type: Long Term
Contract Length: 10 weeks

Job Summary

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and protocols. Maintain skills appropriate to patient age groups served. Coordinate patient care within the interdisciplinary team and provide patient education to ensure safe discharge.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily patient rounds to ensure quality customer service and address unmet needs.
• Develop individualized care plans based on comprehensive patient assessments (physical, psychological, social, educational, developmental, rehabilitative).
• Assess patient conditions, set goals, and implement nursing actions including discharge planning.
• Promptly assess and manage patient pain according to standard procedures.
• Identify early warning signs of patient deterioration and respond appropriately, including emergency interventions and notifying clinicians.
• Accurately document and report patient observations and incidents; ensure timely interventions or referrals.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families, providing education and counseling to optimize understanding.
• Delegate nursing interventions safely within scope of practice and competence.
• Perform other duties as needed to support department and organizational goals.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Dakota
• Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room (OR) nursing experience, with OR experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience with colonoscopy procedures
• Experience with cesarean sections (C-sections)
• Experience with cataract surgeries
• Experience with endoscopy procedures
• Experience in labor and delivery
• Experience in ophthalmology
