Cardiac Catheterization Technologist (Contract)
Location: Grand Junction, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 16 weeks
Schedule: Monday through Friday, approximately 36 hours per week
Call: No call requirements
Shift: Variable hours based on procedural volume and department needs
Job Summary
Assist physicians and clinical staff in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures in a cardiac catheterization lab. Responsibilities include preparing patients and equipment, maintaining sterile technique, operating specialized imaging and monitoring equipment, and ensuring patient safety throughout procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies for cardiac catheterization procedures
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures
- Operate fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
- Maintain sterile technique and comply with infection prevention standards
- Monitor patient status and communicate changes to the clinical team
- Document procedural information accurately and completely
- Assist with patient transport, positioning, and post-procedure care as needed
- Participate in quality and patient safety initiatives
- Maintain equipment and report operational concerns promptly
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Cath Lab Technologist within the last year
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Current Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred

- Proficiency with cardiac catheterization equipment and electronic documentation systems
