Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract

Location

• Monticello, Minnesota
• Floating between two facilities within the same region

Position Details

• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Day shifts, 3 shifts of 12 hours each per week
• Shift start times vary between 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM
• Weekend schedule: Every other weekend
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide respiratory therapy services as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Float between two facilities within the region
• Charting primarily done in Epic electronic health record system
• Scrub color requirement: Dove Gray (light gray)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Minnesota
• Minimum 1 year of recent Respiratory Therapist experience
• American Heart Association ACLS certification
• American Heart Association BLS certification
• American Heart Association PALS certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

Certifications

• AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Criminal background check required within one year of start date, including:

  • 7-year search, SS trace, county and nationwide checks
  • Sex offender registry check
  • Education verification (third party verification required except for CNAs)
  • International background checks if candidate has lived/worked outside the U.S.
• Minnesota DHS NetStudy Fingerprint clearance required prior to start (cannot start with fingerprints pending unless approved “more time needed” letter is provided)
• Candidates must complete the Minnesota DHS NetStudy Questionnaire immediately after signing contract
• Physical exam within one year of start date required
• Drug testing (9-panel) required within one year of start date (instant acceptable)
• Immunizations and health screenings required:

  • Tdap vaccination (no religious declinations accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray per Minnesota state guidelines
  • Proof of immunity or vaccination for Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination, positive titer, or declination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination (mask required if declined)
• Two professional references from recent employers within 2 years required
• Skills checklist required prior to start

Additional Facility Requirements

• Dress code: Dove Gray scrubs for RRTs
• Photo for badge: Grey background, no selfies, JPG format with name
• Confidentiality agreement must be signed prior to start
• Education modules completed during orientation (approx. 16 hours)
• Candidates must return badges to manager on last day of assignment
