Description

Travel RN - Cardiovascular Surgery (Pediatric CVOR)

Location: Denver, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 hours (Day shift, approximately 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM)

Unit Information

Pediatric Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) with 8 ORs
Staff includes Charge RNs, RNs, CSTs, Anesthesia personnel
Day shift hours: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM; Night shift is on-call
Patient ratio typically 1:1 (estimated, not guaranteed)
Equipment used: Belmont Rapid Fusion
Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech / CPN
Procedures performed include Orthopedic, ENT, Urology, Spine, General Surgery, Gynecology, Endoscopy, Plastics, and Cardiac surgeries
Responsibilities include managing the OR, assisting surgeons, monitoring vital signs, and providing pre- and post-operative care

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
Minimum 1 year of experience in Pediatric Operating Room (OR) within the last year
Experience working with pediatric patients in an acute care setting
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
