MRI Tech - Radiology (Travel Position)

Location: Hudson, Florida
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

• Work primarily in the MRI unit located on the 1st floor of the main hospital building.
• MRI unit details:

  • 1 bed, staffed by 3 team members
  • Day shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
  • Night shift: 3:00 PM - 1:30 AM
  • Weekend shift: Saturday-Sunday, 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM
  • Patient ratio: 1:1
• Equipment used: GE Explorer Lift Signa 1.5T MRI scanner (upgrading soon to GE 30X with AirDL for faster scans and new neuro/abdominal sequences)
• Typical procedures:

  • Neuro exams including MRAs and MRIs of head, neck, and spine
  • Abdominal exams including MRCPs, MRAs, MRIs of aorta, liver, kidneys
  • Musculoskeletal exams including extremities and arthrograms
• On-call requirement: 1-2 days per month
• Parking available anywhere except ER parking
• Scrub color for Radiology staff: Black

Required Qualifications

• MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience
• MRI Technologist experience within the last year

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to adapt MRI protocols based on patient or physician needs
• Willingness to learn new procedures through onsite and virtual training

• Travelers expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees
