Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room

Location: Webster, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Unit Information

Unit: Main Operating Room (OR)
Number of Beds: 18
Patient Ratio: 1:1
Typical Staff per Shift:
- Day Shift: 4 CNC, 16-18 RNs, 16-18 CSTs (varies by day and OR rooms in use)
- Night Shift: 2 RNs, 2 CSTs
Equipment: Surgical equipment for various case types, including XI robot
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech
Typical Procedures: All case types except transplants

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) circulator experience, with OR circulate experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

Work Environment & Expectations

Fast-paced environment requiring strong skills and knowledge
Call Requirements: Weekend and on-call duties are required
Dress Code: Light blue scrubs
