Description

Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job – Tyler, Texas

Unit Description

5 North unit has 36 private rooms.
Patient population ranges from young adults to geriatric patients.
Focus on medical-level cardiac care and recovery from cardiac interventions such as cardiac surgery, coronary artery stent placement, and pacemaker implantation.
Also admits hemodynamically stable non-procedural cardiac patients.

Position Details

Job Title: Registered Nurse (MS/Telemetry)
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Weekly Hours: 36 hours
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Patient Ratios

Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5-6

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas.
Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience within the last year.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
