Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job – Tyler, Texas
Unit Description
- 5 North unit has 36 private rooms.
- Patient population ranges from young adults to geriatric patients.
- Focus on medical-level cardiac care and recovery from cardiac interventions such as cardiac surgery, coronary artery stent placement, and pacemaker implantation.
- Also admits hemodynamically stable non-procedural cardiac patients.
Position Details
- Job Title: Registered Nurse (MS/Telemetry)
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Patient Ratios
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5-6
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas.
- Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience within the last year.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
