Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract

Location: Beaufort, South Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours

Job Summary

• Immediate start date available
• Position requires working day shifts as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
• Must work within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Use of Meditech EMR system

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in South Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, including experience within the last year
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands of the position
• Immunizations or proof of immunity required (or facility-specific declination forms):

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer or vaccine series)
  • Varicella
  • Seasonal Flu vaccination or declination
  • COVID vaccination or declination
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (annual update required for Respiratory Therapy)
• Drug testing: 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (for new candidates)
• Completion of facility-specific health questionnaires and screenings

Documentation and Compliance

• Criminal background check within 30 days of start (for new candidates)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
• Copy of Respiratory Therapy diploma required (transcripts not accepted)
• Primary source verification of state license required
• Completion of approximately 81 Relias training modules prior to first shift and orientation
• Badge photo meeting facility standards required
• Signed job description and confidentiality agreements required
• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Performance evaluations required if previously worked through any agency
• Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units

• Candidates must be able to complete all required documentation and training prior to starting
• Facility is strict on compliance with all credentialing and background requirements
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
