Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PCU

Location: Beaufort, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)

Job Description

• Must have ICU experience; traveler will float to ICU as well as stepdown and medical-surgical units.
• Floating required across stepdown, ICU, and medical-surgical units.
• Patient ratio approximately 1:4-5.
• Care for 21 beds.
• Manage non-titrating drips including Amiodarone, NTG, Cardizem, Lopressor, Cardene.
• Experience with vascular cases (fem-pop; carotid endarterectomy), NSTEMI, post-cardiac catheterization with intervention.
• Manage CIWA patients receiving IVP Ativan (no Presidex).
• Provide care for patients on peritoneal dialysis, stable BiPAP, heated high flow oxygen (<80%), home ventilators (Trilogy).
• Wound care, nebulizer treatments, and hemodialysis in the dialysis department.
• Use of EMR system Meditech.
• Dress code: scrubs in royal blue and white.
• Orientation every Wednesday.
• Every other week (EOW) requirement (likely related to scheduling or documentation).
• Must be able to work within a 50-mile radius of the facility.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina
• Minimum of 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year
• Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior travel experience preferred but not required.
